Issue:  The Forgotten Years... Youth Discount Card

If elected onto the UK Youth Parliament one of the issues which I would be actively  campaigning for, would be to see the introduction of a Youth Discount Card for students in full time education, such as Secondary school.

At this current time there is only a student discount card available for people that attend college or sixth form, leaving a gap between primary school and college where young people are being made to pay adult prices, at such places like the cinema.

In Primary school we pay child prices, which most of the time would be paid by our parents or guardian, anyway. In College or Sixth form there is the student discount card which gives a discount off most shops and services. On top of that some students are entitled to EMA and could even get a job of there own.

This leaves people, aged 11 to 16, in years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 paying adult prices with no discount of any kind and no support such as EMA.

This treatment makes it seem like we are forgotten by the system and left to pay the full price for 5 years before we get any financial let off.

This unfair treatment of years 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 can not continue. Vote for me and if elected I will actively campaign to raise awearness of this issue and bring change.

If you have not voted yet there is still time. Vote by either:
